Celebrating Over 30 Years of Creative Education

Engaging, Enhancing and Inspiring Learning

ENCHANTED CIRCLE THEATER, founded in 1976, is a non-profit, professional educational theater company dedicated to engaging, enhancing and inspiring learning through the arts. Enchanted Circle Theater serves an essential need in education today. Our programs motivate youth to want to learn, support them in believing that they can succeed, and help them develop the 21st century skills of innovation and creative thinking necessary for their success in the future.

Our programs integrate theater arts - theater, dance, music, visual and literary arts – with academic and social curricula. We offer in-depth artist-in-residence programs, professional development training for teachers, touring and site-based performances, and creative arts workshops. We work in schools, professional theaters, community centers and human service agencies, with people of all ages and abilities.

ECT’s programmatic objectives are to provide youth with programs which foster imagination, resourcefulness and self-esteem; to support teachers in developing creative teaching techniques and curriculum plans to engage their students’ diverse learning styles and needs; and to build community through creative education programs of social relevance.

Both the performances and the hands-on work are guided by a strong work ethic - an expansive world view that sees individual and cultural differences as sources of enrichment - not division. The company differs from other children's theaters not only in this focus, but in the superior quality of its actors.
