Enchanted Circle Theater

Kate Dean studied theatre at Rhode Island College while earning a B.S. in Elementary Education. She later received a Masters Degree in Special Education from Westfield State College. She recently retired, after 21 years of teaching in the Holyoke Public Schools, where she used the arts as a vehicle for inspiring a diverse range of students. Kate has collaborated with teaching artists from Enchanted Circle Theater on numerous occasions and has directed several classroom and school-wide productions on her own. She became a member of ECT Board of Directors in 2002.

Kate is an avid scuba diver who enjoys diving for New England lobster and scallops and traveling to exotic dive sites around the world.
