Greg Alexander

Greg is a singer, songwriter and performing artist who lives in both New York City and Western Massachusetts. He was the Best New Artist at the Newport Folk Festival in 2003.

He is a graduate of Holyoke Community College, and studied theater at The National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York City, where he was a touring artist for several years. Greg is the principal musician and an arts educator for The Shadowbox Theatre Company in New York City, as well as a musician with Flying Bridge, a puppet theater based in New York.

Greg joined ECT in 1997 as a performer in DANCE OF THE EARTH, FROM PAGE TO STAGE- A Reader’s Theater. and AFRICAN GRIOT: Keeper Of The Oral Tradition. Greg is also a performing member of Chrysalis Theater and No Theater, both based in Northampton, Massachusetts.
